Hello and welcome to my blog, today I'm going to cover 10 tools that you can use when doing homework assignments or lessons. As a college student trying to pursue a college degree, you'll need to know some creative ways to complete an assignment. I will share with you different tools that I find unique and simple. Rather you’re a teacher or not I hope it becomes useful and beneficial.
EQuizzer- eQuizzer
allows you to create quizzes and test easily. It also allows you to monitor
your students' scores. This tool provides a variety of quiz styles such as
multiple choices; fill in the blank, true/false, and even short answer. I could
use this to make short quizzes online and give them to my students. Also
outside of school my students could have access to the quiz and could
take advantage of this and quiz themselves for later exams.
2.) Bubblus: Often get brain farts? This website will gather your thoughts. This website save your work and you can print off your bubbles to take anywhere. I would suggest starting the students off on this website first. Its an easy way to have all your ideas in one spot, to get them down quickly, and this website helps it look better.
Magic Pen- Magic Pen is an
interactive physics app. You are given a red ball and you have to get the ball
to the flag. You can draw different objects just to get the ball to the flag. I
would use this with my students when we are going over physics concepts. It would
help the students get the picture of the different concepts
Tux Paint: Is
strictly for children ages 3 to 12. Tux paint is a very easy application
to use. Its fun for the younger students and has sound effects. You get
to choose a mascot who guides children as they use the program. Kids
are presented with a blank canvas and get to draw with different
tools to help them be creative. This could be used in the classroom because
shows off the students creativity.
Prezi is a free online presentation site.
With this site you must have Internet access. Prezi also allows you
to choose a theme, rather its hollowed, Christmas or spring. You can
upload pictures and type words. Prezi is a good tool for group or
individual presentations on any assignment. Prezi it’s similar to PowerPoint
but more detail. This web tool, you do not need flash drive to save,
you go to website, and your work is still there.
6.) https://www.edmodo.com
Edmodo is the safest way for teachers to
connect with students, parents, and each other. This tool allows students
and parents to know their grade in the classroom at all times.
Teachers can send alerts, assignments, files, and even links to each other.
Edmodo requires that a teacher create an account and then add his or her
students to the group so that everything remains private and classes are
separated. Teachers can use this tool to communicate with their students and
students are also able to communicate with the teacher. This tool can be used
as a way to clarify assignments and let the students be aware of the
upcoming assignments and homework.
7.) http://photopeach.com
Photo peach- Photo peach allows you to
create PowerPoint. You can add background music to your PowerPoint. It also
makes it easier for teachers to manage student accounts. I could use Photo
peach in the classroom by having them make a PowerPoint
and insert music. They could select a music style just by using Photo
peach.
Easy Bib is a ''free'' website that creates
citations or bibliographies for you. Students simply type in the correct
information and Easy Bib will do the rest. Once your done Easy Bib will allow
you to copy the bibliography directly from their website into your word
document. Students can use this website to make sure they are correctly citing
their documents. Teachers can also use this website to teach their students how
important it is not to plagiarize.
Braingle has fun free puzzles, riddles, so much
more. Braingle help prepare the students ready for assignments. This definitely
is a fun way to learn. It gets your brain activated for today’s lesson. Braingle
has brainteasers that could sometimes get a little confusing. I would
use this website in the classroom by helping the students figure out
the answers. I would make sure everyone is participating in
the different fun games.
Toondoo
allows users to create comic strips or cartoons. It
helps the students to think on their own. It can also show how
the students are feeling and show how creative they can actually
get. Instead of writing/ drawing the pictures, the students could use
today's technology to show their skills. The age group doesn't have
to be strictly for elementary; middle school students could use this
application as well.
